M A Nishad had been a politician a decade ago. Since then he has changed his profession and revived his childhood interest to become a filmmaker. It was after producing four films that he finally decided to call the shots, without becoming an assistant to any of the prominent directors of the field. His first three movies Pakal, Nagaram and Aayudham were noted for their sincerity in tackling social issues, though the art and perfect grammar of either the art house or commercial movie making were not evident in any of these ventures.

Then came his multi-starrer ‘Vairam’ which marked the arrival of a director material to look forward to. Nishad also admits that it was only with this film that he had got a significant support in scripting department, coming up from the able hands of ‘Cheriyan Kalpakavadi'. The movie was a good contender for awards in the section of acting and scripts. The relatively better reviews and returns of the film has worked as an eye-opener for Nishad, who has ultimately decided to make his new movie's using the competency of experienced and creative best people of the circuit.

His fifth movie ‘Best Of Luck’ will thus bring in Vinu Kiriyath as the scriptwriter for the story by the director. A movie based on the new generation life styles, this multi-starrer will feature many young faces of Mollywood including Prabhu, Urvashi, Reema Kallingal, Asif Ali, Archana Kavi, Kailash, Jagathy and Bijukuttan in important roles. Sanjeev Shankar is in the change of the camera department of the movie but the biggest surprise comes in the music department. The director has successfully included Dr Palash Sen, of the famous troupe Euphoria, to tune in the songs for the movie. Let's wait for another month to know how all his new moves and all these talents will contribute in shaping up a more popular movie.
